To make a healthy smoothie for dinner which can fill your stomach to quench the hunger and give your body good nutrition we need to have 3 main components in our smoothies i.e. fruits and veggies which serves as source of providing carbohydrates in the smoothies along with some source of fats and proteins to make it a wholesome smoothie for night dinner.
Healthy smoothie recipe for dinner time
Here i have shared a simple recipe to make dinner smoothie easily. you can change the ingredients to make the smoothie as per your liking for the ingredients and taste preference. you can make and drink this smoothie in day time also at breakfast or lunch if you are in hurry and cant sit to eat full meal, this smoothie made in combination with your preferable ingredients will come to your rescue.
1- 1.5 banana
1 cup berries
1/2 cup spinach
1/2 cup kale
1 spoon chia seeds
1 spoon pumpkin seeds
1 spoon flax seeds
1 cup almond milk
1/4 cup cashews
1 spoon protein powder (optional)
Add banana, berries and avocado in blender and mix till smooth.
Then add some green veggies spinach, kale etc. in the mix
Then add seeds and almond milk to make smooth creamy smoothie for healthy body
once done add it your glass and garnish with some mint leaves and serve
Some common veggies to make smoothies include kale, spinach, escarole, frozen swiss chard etc. Some time you may find spinach nuggets or green leafy nuggets in the market in discount which will help you easily make smoothies so if you like spinach or green veggies then buy them as they are good and cheap.
Some fruits which can be added in smoothies preparation are berries like cherries, blueberry, strawberries, raspberry, mangoes, avocados, kiwi, peach, banana etc. frozen fruits can be used for making smoothies cool and delightful. so you can freeze them in advance and enjoy the smoothies later.
You need to also have protein in your smoothies for making your muscles and bones stronger. you can add protein powder in the smoothies if you like, some of the good ones are whey proteins, collagen, pea proteins, cranberry proteins etc. as per your liking but i would recommend that you can use some natural proteins sources like plain kefir which gives about 10 grams of protein in 1 cup, Chia seeds which gives 9-10 grams of proteins in about 3 spoon. besides that you can add couple of spoons of peanut butter for 8 gram proteins, you can also use peanut butter alternatives if you don’t have it for making the smoothie.
couple of spoons of almond butter will provide you about 7 gram of proteins. if you want to add flax seeds then about 3 spoons will give you 6 grams of proteins. 1/4 cup of cashews gives 7 grams of proteins.
For fat source in our smoothie you can add yogurt, coconut milk, full fat cream milk, heavy cream, coconut oil, almond milk, nut or nut butter like peanut butter, almond butter, walnut butter, flex seeds , chia seeds or seed butter etc.
For sweetness in your drink you can add natural sweetness sources like coconut sugar, molasses, honey, agave nectar, dates, maple syrup etc.
